Paulo Freire: all his publications as well as personal contact during his yearly visits to UMass/Amherst in the early 1980s.

Professor Bob Suzuki’s classes at UMass and his publications. Although Bob published only a handful of articles related to multicultural education before taking on major administrative positions at a number of universities in California, his articles were seminal pieces in the field.

Schooling in Capitalist America by Samuel Bowles and Herbert Gintis (1976). Sam and Herb were professors of economics at UMass/Amherst and they used the page proofs from their groundbreaking publication as the course text in a course on the political economy of education.
